Our History

Founded in 1981 as a joint venture with the Government of China, Winger Group and its affiliates were pioneers in Sino American trade. The company initially engaged in the minerals, chemicals, textiles, industrial hardware and consumer goods industries. After the joint venture contract expired in 1990, Winger became a privately-owned company focused on consumer goods and industrial hardware.

One of the key industries that Winger originated in China is rigging hardware. The first product was developed in Qingdao from a shackle sample that our founder brought to a local factory there in 1983.

Because of the evolution of the industry in the area, Qingdao is known today as the “Rigging Hardware Center of China.”

With offices in the U.S, China, Hong Kong and Vietnam, Winger focuses on providing full service to its customers, including sourcing with competitive pricing, quality control, order consolidation from over 50 factories and door-to-door delivery including custom clearance.

With 40 years of experience, the company has developed a system of comprehensive services that are second to none.
